bio
An artist committed to making a difference in other’s lives by sharing her story of hope and healing through her work. Designs are eco-conscious, charity focused, and tell a story of a faith driven passion. Purpose, Inspiration, Design….this is DeAnna Cochran, it is “Jewelry for a Cause”™.

The Artist's love for her medium began with a Bachelor of Fine Arts in metalwork and jewelry design. After a 15-year detour with a successful corporate career as a quality consultant and Six Sigma Black Belt the Artist returned to her passion following a tragic loss. Her son Jackson was born 4 months premature and after 3 weeks in the NICU (Neonatal Intensive Care Unit) the artist lost her son. Touched by the experience in a profound, life changing way she had the faith that this experience had a purpose in her life. True to her spirit of finding the good in all situations she set out on a personal mission to "make a difference" and help others by telling her story through her work. Proceeds from the collections benefit several non-profit organizations and many are a dedicated to special people in her life. Also considered a “green” Artist, designs are hand created one at a time with reclaimed fine silver, bronze, 22k gold, repurposed leather, and vintage chains. She has a passion for giving new life to old materials.

Originally known for her debut collection of hand carved leaves the artist now works in various mediums utilizing many repurposed materials such as her latest collection of “New Life”™ repurposed leather cuffs. Her work has been recognized by fashion, television, & news publications including NBC, ABC, Modern Jeweler, Lucky Magazine, OK! Magazine Australia, F!D Luxe Magazine, ON Magazine, Inspired Retailer Magazine, Flavour Magazine, Saturday Night Mag, and Celebrity Baby Blog (People Magazine). The Artist was also named as a member of the Dream Crew™ for the 2010 Southern California 100K Dream Wedding.

DeAnna Cochran continues to inspire others to search for the positive in all situations.

statement
"Simply, I love creating and more so I love that what I create holds a higher purpose of giving back and making a difference. I get excited about the challenge of emerging materials and techniques and ultimately creating something that someone not only loves to wear but has special meaning. I hope to inpsire others through my art and personal story to make their own difference with the talent God has blessed them with."

- DeAnna Cochran, Metalsmith and Artist

process
The Artist hand-carves and/or creates each piece one at a time in what is referred to as hand-made production. No two pieces are exactly alike. The result is a one-of-a-kind piece as unique as the owner of one of her creations. The Artist carves in fine silver, 22 karat gold, and bronze. She ulitizes re-claimed metals, repurposed leather, and vintage pieces in many of her collections further reducing her footprint on the environment.
